DETAILS: On August 8th, 2024, Josephine County Animal Control received a call about 36 cats being abandoned at one of the gates at Rogue Valley Humane Society. The cats were left without adequate shelter, food, or water. The Rogue Valley Humane Society took the cats in and provided medical care and shelter.
On November 14th, 2024, after reviewing video evidence and receiving tips from the community, Animal Control Officer Morgan with the assistance of Deputy Simon, went to interview suspects. The suspects were located and confessed to being in the video and leaving the cats at one of the gates.
Both Jedediah and Harmony Wytcherley were cited to appear for Animal Abandonment and Animal Neglect II. All information and evidence are being forwarded to the DA’s office for further review.
At the time of this press release the investigation is ongoing and no further details are being released.
